I love this
Tim Holtz's snarky sticker. I believe this sums up my existence if not the Generation X age group! Not to mention today's
Carrie Elle journal prompt "Your reality is created by what you focus on and how you chose to interpret it. - Jen Sincero" I do not believe this holds true with my Post Office experience this morning. Typically, I never have issues at the Post Office - this morning however, was quite an experience. They had one gentleman working the front desk... ok. They had 15 people in line. Ick. One of the women in line had her young daughter with her and she was letting her use her phone to watch a cartoon... I mean, she was letting EVERYONE in the post office listen to her cartoon. It was so so so loud and rude. People were getting more and more aggravated. Then of course, you have the individual who gets to the counter and doesn't stop texting long enough to help the Post Office worker complete his request. It was incredibly remarkable and a flashback to my days in New England where anyone who walks into a Post Office turns instantly grumpy. The women in line were bickering and complaining about catching a flight in 2 hours, where is the extra help, what is that woman doing back there that she can't help. Oy.
Back to the quote... I tend to overthink most things. I believe it allows me to make better choices but it also causes great anxiety and sleepless nights. But, since it's my day off, I'm finding a glass of wine and going to sit on the veranda...ok, concrete slab I call a back patio - because it's 5 o'clock somewhere, and like day 1's quote - we should limit happy to just one hour!
xoxo, Lisa
