April 30th - Let the Snarkiness Begin!
Greetings! I'm embarking on a new adventure. I have been wanting to journal more, read more, do more brush lettering, and I just cannot find the time! Well.... starting today, that is changing!
It started a few weeks back when I attended Jenn Shurkus's Creative Journey on the Cape. We made these beautiful alcohol ink inspired cards and were allowed to pick a 'Snarky Saying' from Tim Holtz's Idea-ology small talk sticker collection. It is 109 of the snarkiest comments I have seen in a while.
Now - to many, they are just down right funny. As I am originally from Connecticut, born and raised for 38 years, they are hilarious! Alas, I have relocated to the great state of Georgia, where, y'all, these sayings are just down right inappropriate. They are straight up 'Bless your heart' and 'I'll pray for you' responses. You'd get the look 'y'all ain't from around here, now are ya?'
Well, I need a little humor in my day. So on my quest for journaling, brush lettering, reading, and giggling, I am taking one of the Tim Holtz snarky statements each day and focusing on a blog post and a wee-bit of journaling with some brush lettering. I picked up a beautiful gratitude journal from Kristen Hewitt to start my journey.
